Meet Peter Haworth
Welcome to my website. For the past eighteen years, I have been travelling China as an independent traveller and amateur photographer, recording some of the world's last remaining steam railways and more recently, other railway systems using diesel and electric traction also under threat of closure.
My travels rarely see me spend any great deal of time in the large cities and I generally avoid the major tourist attractions, with more enjoyment found discovering places seldom seen by the outside world.
The photograph galleries are categorised in themes and cover not only China's fantastic railway network, but also local life, street scenes, wildlife and scenery of this amazing country. As time permits, I will add my travel blogs to the site.
